WINNER OF THE QUARTER-FINAL CUP FRIENDLY FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT
In the afternoon of June 20, at Vietsovpetro Sports Complex (VSP), the Four Hung Cup Friendly Football Tournament 2023 was organized by Dai Hung Phase 3 Project Management Board. The participating teams include the team of Petroleum Design Consultancy Corporation (PVE), Vietsovpetro – Russia Joint Venture and Domestic Oil and Gas Operation – Exploration – Exploitation Company Limited (PVEP POC). The football team of Petroleum Design Consulting Corporation excellently won the championship.
Participating in the tournament were 4 teams: PVE; VSP I; VSP II; PVEP POC are officials and engineers who are implementing the design of Dai Hung Phase III project and Kinh Ngu Trang project.
This is a meaningful activity to create a healthy exchange playground as well as cohesion of unions, in the form of a draw to divide the knockout match.

In the first knockout round, the PVE team met the VSP II team. The match was fierce from the first moments with many scoring opportunities but the strikers on both sides missed because shots were blocked by goalkeepers on both sides or deflected off goal, ending the first half with a provisional score of 0–0 for both teams. Entering the second half, after some effective tactical adjustments, the PVE team took the lead thanks to the goal of player Ho Han Tien with a beautiful solo that passed the defenders and did not give your team’s goalkeeper a chance to save. PVE continued to press but were unable to score more goals, suddenly after a counter-attack from the VSP II team scored to bring the game to the starting line with a score of 1-1. The match was still extremely intense, the two sides constantly had-for-tat matches but could not score more goals, accepted the score 1 – 1 and entered the penalty shootouts to win and defeat.
In the penalty shootout, thanks to the skills of the players, goalkeepers and a bit of luck, the PVE team beat the VSP II team with a close score of 5–4 to qualify for the final.

Entering the final was a confrontation between PVE and VSP I. Once again PVE’s players faced a team with physical superiority and an even formation in all lines, from the first minutes VSP I proved its strength by constantly pressuring towards its opponent’s goal. With a physical disadvantage after stretching in the previous match, PVE players actively concede the game to VSP I while rotating the squad to ensure the best fitness for the players. With the solidity of the defenders, especially the excellence of goalkeeper Le Ngoc Tai that frustrated the strikers on the VSP I side, the first half ended with a score of 0 – 0. Going into the second half the game remained unchanged, after 40 minutes of tug-of-war the two teams could not score more goals and went into the penalty shootout. In the penalty shootout, VSP I almost secured the victory when leading with the score of 2 – 0, but with the spirit of never giving up, the PVE players played very tenaciously, alert in every shot, the final result of the PVE team won the final with the score of 2 – 3 in the burst of joy of the players and fans.

At the end of the Four Heroes Cup exchange football tournament, PVE team won the championship, VSP I team won second place, VSP II team placed third and PVEP POC team placed fourth.
