According to the plan No. 458/KHLT-TKDK, organize labor emulation activities, production, culture and sports to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union (28/07/1929-28/07/2023) and the 25th anniversary of the establishment of Petroleum Design Consulting Corporation – Joint Stock Company (24/07/1998-24/07/2023). The Corporation launched the 5S movement, the movement to create Green – Clean – Beautiful working space at the Office. The competition runs for 40 days, starting on July 24, 2023 and ending on August 31, 2023.
The contest has received the attention and registration of departments and member companies of the Corporation including: Design Consulting Center (DEC), Administrative Organization Department (TCHC), Economic and Contract Department (KTHD), Finance and Accounting Department (TCKT), PVE Petroleum Survey Consulting Joint Stock Company (PVE-SC) and Project Management Consulting Joint Stock Company PVE PETROLEUM PROJECT (PVE-PMC).
On August 18, 2023, at the office of Petroleum Design Consulting Corporation (PVE), there was a judging session to emulate the 5S movement, the movement to create Green – Clean – Beautiful space in the working space of departments in the Corporation and its member subsidiaries. The prize structure includes: First prize: 3,000,000 VND/ 1 prize, Second prize: 2,000,000 VND/ 1 prize, Third prize: 1,500,000 VND/ 1 prize.
Office 5S is a method of managing and organizing the workplace in an office environment, in order to create an efficient, clean and tidy workspace. Office 5S is made up of 5 principles starting with the letter S in Japanese including:
Based on the evaluation criteria that have been developed by the Organizing Committee. The final results have been selected by the Organizing Committee to win the prize for the Green – Clean – Beautiful 5S emulation this time as follows:
- First prize: Design Consultancy Center (referred to as DEC1) includes the following rooms: Project Management Consulting Department, Power Distribution Design Department, HSE Department, Estimating Department.
- Second prize: Contract Economics Department of the Corporation.
- Third prize: Administrative Organization Committee of the Corporation.
The Design Consultancy Center (DEC1) has been very delicate when selecting each variety of plants to display and care for in the office, in addition to bringing fresh green, suitable for the environment, the plants also have feng shui meanings for each individual, helping to improve both the health and working spirit of employees. In addition, the slogans pasted on the wall also have the meaning of encouraging the spirit of striving to work tirelessly, determined to achieve high results in production and business of the unit.

Through this 5S emulation movement, Petroleum Design Consulting Corporation with the idea of “Micro action, macro impact” has spread green vitality to the whole Company wearing fresh colors for the office. The company’s management hopes that each individual in particular and departments in general will always keep the meaning of 5S, especially maintaining a routine to keep the office tidy to improve productivity and efficiency at work.
