On April 6, at PVGas Building, the Union of Petroleum Consulting and Design Corporation (PVE) held the opening of the Second Petroleum Spring Online Run 2023 with the theme “Energy for Development”.

This is a practical sports activity to celebrate the 48th anniversary of the Liberation Day of the South, the reunification of the country (30/4/1975 – 30/4/2023) and the 137th anniversary of International Labor Day (1/5/1886 – 1/5/2023); the 133rd anniversary of the birth of President Ho Chi Minh (19/5/1890 – 19/5/2023); welcome to the Trade Union Congress at all levels, The VII Congress of Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Unions, towards the XIII Congress of Vietnam Trade Unions, term 2023 – 2028; to encourage cadres, workers and employees of the Oil and Gas industry to actively respond to the campaign “The whole people train their bodies following the example of the great Uncle Ho”; in response to Workers’ Month, Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2023.

After the great success of the first online race “Petroleum Spring” held in 2022 with a widespread, becoming a strong movement at affiliated trade unions, attracting a large number of workers to participate in physical training, health improvement, strive to complete plans, targets, production and business tasks of member units and PetroVietnam.

            Runners participate in the 2023 Second Oil and Gas Spring Online Run

The second Petroleum Spring Online Run 2023 will take place over 10 days, starting from 0:00 on April 6, 2023 and ending at 23:59 on April 16, 2023, with the participation of nearly 7,100 athletes in the Oil and Gas industry across the country from 33 unions of DKVN College, divided into small teams of 20 athletes competing in the men’s team, men’s and women’s team categories.

Runners will choose to run cumulatively according to the distance: 50km for women to 70km for men. The average speed required is from 4 minutes/km to 15 minutes/km (pace 4:00 to 15:00). Runners participating in the tournament will have 3 days to double their running performance (April 6; April 9 and April 16).

In terms of form, athletes registered to participate on the online running competition website, then installed the kilometer counting application on smart mobile devices and connected to the personal account registered on the web. When running, the results of each athlete will be recorded on the application and synchronized on the program’s website. The results will be updated synchronously continuously and cumulatively until the end of the race.

Athletes are free to walk or jog, at a time and place suitable to their personal conditions, encouraged in the area where they live and work.

In terms of prize structure, athletes who complete the running distance will have the opportunity to receive many attractive rewards. Specifically, athletes who register to participate in at least 3 days will receive 01 T-shirt of the program. Athletes completing the distance will receive 01 medal to complete the program (50km for women and 70km for men) and electronic certificates according to the milestones: 70km, 100km, 130km (for men) and 50km, 70km, 100km (for women) corresponding to the titles: Active Runner, Pro Runner and Elite Runner.

The men’s/women’s prize completes the competition earliest; The elder male/female athlete finishes the competition earliest; The unit tournament has a large number of athletes who are leaders participating in the tournament; The unit tournament has a large number of athletes completing the competition; The unit tournament has the largest percentage of runners/employees participating in the race. Along with other team and individual tournaments.

At the program, Chairman of DKVN Nghiem Thuy Lan shared, the first online running tournament “Petroleum Spring” in 2022 was successful, contributing to adding the beauty of Oil and Gas culture in improving the spiritual life of employees; healthy to promote efficiency, labor productivity, efforts to fulfill targets and tasks in production and business, political tasks in 2022, contributing to the construction and development of Petrovietnam and contributing to the country.

Chairman of DKVN Nghiem Thuy Lan emphasized that promoting the tradition of physical training and sports movement of DKVN College in general, the running movement in particular is continued to be maintained and developed. The program aims to build a joyful and exciting cultural and spiritual life, create a healthy and useful playground for trade union officials, trade union members and employees; creating a healthy, united environment, emulate physical training, improve health, regenerate labor power with the spirit of “Healthy individuals – Strong enterprises”, determined to strive to exceed the plans, targets, production and business tasks in 2023 of the unit where they work and the Group.

At the same time, creating a playground for workers and employees of units to exchange, study, exchange experiences in work, detect active collectives and individuals in the sports training movement; all employees working shifts or on drilling rigs and offices can arrange to participate, improve their spiritual life to spread their contribution to building and regenerating Petroleum Culture.

It is expected that the closing and awarding ceremony will be held on the occasion of launching Workers’ Month, Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2023.
