In response to the 93rd anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Women’s Union (20/10/1930-20/10/2023) and Vietnamese Women’s Day 20/10/2023, Petroleum Design Consulting Corporation (PVE) launched Ao Dai week

Celebrating the 93rd anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Women’s Union (20/10/1930-20/10/2023) and Vietnamese Women’s Day 20/10/2023. The Executive Committee of the Trade Union, Women’s Committee of Petroleum Design Consulting Corporation (PVE) launched the Ao Dai Week movement and organized the program to celebrate Vietnam Women’s Day.

Vietnamese women always carry with them the noble qualities that Uncle Ho gave 8 golden letters “Heroic, Indomitable, Middle Queen, Courageous”. Regardless of their position, women always promote their inherent role, strength and ingenuity. Recognizing and deeply understanding the role of women, since the establishment of our Party, the Party has organized the establishment of a women’s union with different names and later the Vietnam Women’s Union took October 20, 1930 as the founding date.

In order to continue promoting the glorious virtues and traditions of women, the Board of Trade Unions, Women’s Board of Petroleum Design Consulting Corporation (PVE) recently launched the Ao Dai Week movement, organizing a program to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Women’s Union (20/10/1930 – 20/10/2023) and Vietnamese Women’s Day 20/10/2023.

In response to Ao Dai Week, women have chosen Ao Dai as the main costume when coming to work. The enthusiastic response of women has created a positive effect in the working environment, thereby spreading and honoring the beauty of women through ao dai, contributing to arousing pride and responsibility to preserve and promote Vietnamese traditional costumes.

Since 2020 was the first year that the Vietnam Women’s Union launched Ao Dai Week, this activity has become an annual event that attracts a large number of women to participate.

At the program to celebrate Vietnam Women’s Day on October 20, 2023, General Director of the Corporation Mr. Ngo Ngoc Thuong gave a speech of congratulations, thanks and appreciation for the contributions of all female employees of all periods and all current female officers and employees of the Corporation who have contributed to the formation, Development of the Corporation, Besides, it also continues to call on all female employees in the whole Corporation in each position to continue promoting their roles and solidarity to work with the Corporation to build and recreate PVE culture, gradually helping the Corporation overcome the current difficult period. Employee representative, Mr. Dinh Tung Hoanh, The Chairman of the Corporation’s Trade Union shared: “Ao Dai Week at PetroVietnam Design Consulting Corporation (PVE) is an activity to honor the traditional beauty through Vietnamese ao dai in general and PVE women in particular. In the current hustle and bustle of life, the tunic seems to be limited in daily activities. PVE Union hopes that this event will not only provide an opportunity for women and friends to show their elegant beauty when wearing traditional costumes but also an opportunity to bond emotionally through a busy time at work.”

The sisters responded to the “Ao Dai Week” wearing graceful dresses at work and “dyeing” social networks.

At the event, Ms. Le Mai Phuong – Vice Chairman of the Trade Union, Head of PVE Women Trade Union Committee, Deputy Director of Design Consultancy Center, representatives of all PVE female employees shared the current difficulties of the Company in general and the difficulties of the women in particular, desire to receive more attention, encouragement and help to create conditions for women to have the opportunity to develop. At the same time, he expressed his gratitude to the Group and the Board of Directors of the Corporation for always paying attention to directing, supporting and creating conditions for women to promote their capacity and intellect to successfully complete the assigned tasks.

For Vietnamese women, ao dai is a traditional costume that emphasizes the feminine beauty and tenderness of a woman.

Therefore, ao dai is often worn on special days, important occasions such as holidays, Tet, weddings, meetings.
